The Operations Manager Role
The Operations Manager will Manage the day-to-day financial and operations related functions of the company. You’ll also manage the processes of human resources and payroll entry, and customer service. You’ll need the following to be effective:
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
You should know accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, and general ledger maintenance. Some of the principles of GAAP make sense to you. Of course, you’ll have CPAs, a knowledgeable CFO, and and bookkeeping resources to help you.
Managing our handful of vendors should be easy for you as well as deciphering our credit card billing and subscription systems (Currently authorize.net).
You’ve set up budgeting and forecasting systems as well as business (MIS) reporting, delivering weekly, monthly, quarterly reports related to company performance.
You understand how to protect the best interests of the company and keep us in accordance with our own policies and government laws and regulations. Of course, you’ll have the support of a fantastic legal team.
You understand the essentials of payroll, and know the ins and outs of managing an outside payroll and benefits service.
You are adept at keeping a small customer service team sharp and responsive.
- You’re skilled at essential human resources practices, supporting managers with recruiting, hiring, compensation, onboarding, performance review, and termination processes.
Your writing skills are stellar and your phone communication can represent a prestigious company.
Web services and the latest productivity and collaborations tools are already part of your tool set.
