East Central College has openings for adjunct (part-time) instructors in a variety of English & Humanities disciplines at our Main Campus in Union, our facilities in Rolla and online.
The English & Humanities department includes courses in English, Communications, Philosophy, Religion and Spanish. The openings include:
- Civilization
- Communication
- English
- Spanish
Minimum Qualifications for Academic Fields: a Master's degree in related field and/or 18 graduate credit hours in discipline; community college teaching experience preferred.
Rate per credit hour (pch): Adjuncts are hired on a per semester basis and are eligible to teach a maximum of 18 credit hours per calendar year and only 9 credit hours per semester.
Adjuncts are paid per credit hour (pch) based on level of degree obtained.
- Bachelor - $600 (pch)
- Master - $620 (pch)
- Academic/Terminal or Professional - $630 (pch)
- Academic Doctoral - $640 (pch) or ECC Faculty Retiree - $640 (pch)
