East Central College has immediate openings for adjunct (part-time) English/Reading instructors at the Union and Rolla location. 

Minimum Qualifications: Earned a Master’s degree in English a master's degree with at least 18 GSH in a combination of the qualifying fields. Qualifying fields include: English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Literature, Technical Writing, Rhetoric and Composition, Writing Studies, English Education, Liberal Studies. 

Community college teaching experience preferred.

Adjuncts are hired on a per semester basis and are eligible to teach a maximum of 18 credit hours per calendar year and only 9 credit hours per semester.

Adjuncts are paid per credit hour (pch) based on level of degree obtained.

• Bachelor - $630 (pch)
• Master - $650 (pch)
• Academic/Terminal or Professional - $660 (pch)
• Academic Doctoral - $670 (pch) or ECC Faculty Retiree - $670 (pch)
