Oak Hill School is more than a building and classrooms, it's a 7-acre campus with 50 students across the elementary and secondary education programs. Oak Hill benefits from extensive campus opportunities, including 7 classrooms, speech and psychotherapy rooms, an occupational therapy studio, gymnasium, natural and synthetic turf athletic fields and an outdoor swimming pool.
Students participate in regularly scheduled visits to outside organizations for service learning, independent living skills, arts education and social interaction. Additionally, teen students participate in internships at organic farms, equine centers, retail stores, public libraries, restaurants and businesses in the surrounding community.

As our Executive Director, the School will look to you as an example of professionalism, dedication, caring, and innovation. You will mentor, develop and inspire staff while promoting an environment where people feel supported, safe, and creative in their work. You will oversee all aspects of the program, lead the annual fundraising efforts and report to the Board of Directors.

We look to you to:
- Provide overall leadership, direction, management, evaluation and refinement for the school, including exploring opportunities to extend the impact of Oak Hill School to other communities
- Oversee and maintain operational systems that assure efficient and effective operation of programs and provide relevant data for evaluation and strategic planning
- With the Finance Committee, create and implement an annual budget that will keep Oak Hill School viable and sustainable
- Meet with and expand relationships with attorneys, educational advocates, school districts, clinicians, physicians, advocates and parents
- Speak at conferences, seminars, community meetings and parent groups
- Work closely with therapists, ed consultants, SPED attorneys, and other NPS Directors
- Direct and coordinate successful fundraising, public relations and marketing efforts
- Maintain regular communication with families through newsletters, emails and social media
- With teachers and therapists, counsel families regarding student-family relationships and staff-family issues
- Oversee the recruiting, hiring and retaining of quality staff
- Coordinate collaborations with UCSF and other research
Your background will include:
- A minimum of a master’s degree in Special Education, Psychology or other related field
- 7 or more years working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, challenging behaviors or other developmental disabilities in a school setting
- 2 or more years of director level experience such as an Assistant Director, Clinical Director, Curriculum Director or Program Director in a school setting
- Directly managing an annual budget of at least $2M
- Computer literacy, ideally with proficiency with Google Suite

Oak Hill School serves students ages 6-22 living with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental differences. We believe that each student is capable of learning and developing when given the right pace and trajectory. Dedicated staff members across disciplines design and implement individualized programs that reach students at their developmental levels.
