Digital Experience Designer
Seattle, Washington - Full Time

Pure Watercraft is creating revolutionary electric boat propulsion to ensure a future where boating will be clean, quiet, and powerful.  As we continue to build our online presence, we are looking for a highly organized, tech savvy, and motivated individual to join the Marketing team in strategizing our social media roadmap.

In this role, you will lead the experience of all our digital customer touch points including web, mobile app, and product user interfaces (visual and interaction). You will create satisfying or compelling experiences for our customers, often drawing on results from user research and workflow analysis. You need to possess strong creative, technical and problem-solving skills to be successful in this role. 

Pure Watercraft is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work with a highly motivated team on extremely challenging projects. Thus, you are expected to deliver multiple projects on schedule, on budget and with no errors. Our prototypes have already delivered more than 1,000 hours of high-performance boating and since we are gearing up for commercial launch, we need to increase our online visibility and improve our marketing and sales efforts.

 

Job Summary

  • Lead the experience of all digital customer touch points including web, mobile app, and product user interfaces (visual and interaction)

  • Work with product managers and engineers to create a clear and cohesive user experience across the company’s digital ecosystem.

  • Maintain an asset library and style guide

 

What You’ll ‘Mostly’ Do

  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups.

  • Create original graphic designs and styles (e.g. images, sketches and tables)

  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems.

  • Incorporate customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design in order to enhance user experience.

  • Identify areas for improvement and future technologies that will enhance and enrich the customer experience.

 

What We Look For First

  • Ability to ‘fail fast’ through lots of idea iterations

  • Expert in communication through digital design.

  • Willingness to get out from behind your desk and talk to users

  • Systems mindset

  • BA/BS in Design, Computer Science or relevant field

  • Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc, InVision, or Figma)

  • Knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

 

Bonus Superpowers:

  • Technical understanding of how hardware, software, and web services work together.

  • Strong portfolio of previous design projects.

  • Startup (zero to one) experience

  • Experience in marine, EV, or other powersports design.

  • Understanding of EV technologies/concepts and how to visualize them.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
