As the Press Room Supervisor at our Chelsea facility, you will lead a team of manufacturing floor employees as you improve processes and mentor people. You will teach your team how to best use resources and improve their performance. Your continuous improvement efforts will eliminate waste and achieve improvement goals in safety, quality, service, inventory, cost, and productivity. 

Our ideal Press Room Supervisor will be able to work the day shift, often overlapping with the shifts before and after to foster effective communication and goals between the shifts. They will have a strong aptitude to be a self-motivated leader.  

Responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Supervises coordinates and prioritizes activities of production personnel to meet customer, plant and management requirements.
  • Interprets specifications and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
  • Ensures effective utilization of manpower to minimize overtime requirements.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
  • Observes workers and machines to detect errors or malfunctions and orders corrective actions.
  • Ensures daily communication of relevant events is completed daily from shift to shift.
  • Maintains production, quality and timekeeping reports and records accurately.
  • Examines products for adherence to specification and processes for adherence to standards.
  • Maintains a safe working environment including completion of accident investigation reports, Completing Safety Audits, workplace Organization Audits, Assures proper utilization of personal protective equipment, and compliance with company safety rules and procedures.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Works closely with the maintenance department personnel to minimize machine downtime by identifying root cause, insuring timelines of repair operation, coordinating necessary departmental support, and following up on countermeasures to avoid future breakdowns.


  • Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-5 years’ supervisory experience with an understanding of welding and stamping processes.
