Project Engineering Manager
San Diego, California - Full Time

Job Description:
● Develop and maintain tracking of progress on team activities
● Communicate timing and supply chain issues with Zone Leads
● Ensure engineering team and management understand and accept changes to timeline
● Understand and monitor design change impacts on manufacturing equipment budget and timeline
● Gain holistic knowledge of product, process, and manufacturing technologies to understand and mitigate risks
● Work with related teams to understand critical actions necessary to integrate requirements
Skills:
● Experience in enterprise resource planning software
● Preferred knowledge in composites
● Preferred knowledge of CAD
● Knowledgeable in product design and assembly line manufacturing
● Experience with procurement and purchasing processes
● Thorough organizational and documentation skills
● Strong analytical skills
● Self-starter go-getter
● Flexibility and team attitude
● Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
● Proficient in project management software
● Completed a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related major

Preferred:
It is not expected that a candidate has all of the following, but please make a note if you do.
● Hands-on experience in prototype assembly or vehicle service
● Previous engineering experience
● Knowledge in composite manufacturing
● Experience in materials requirement planning software
● 5+ years of experience in automotive or related industry
