Pure Watercraft is creating revolutionary electric boat propulsion to ensure a future where boating will be clean, quiet, and powerful.  As we prepare our supply chain and production facility for commercial launch, we are looking for a highly organized, mechanically inclined, and motivated individual to join the Supply Chain team in developing and monitoring Pure’s supply chain strategy. Their goal is to improve productivity and efficiency and reduce costs while securing high quality material for their company.

Our prototypes have already delivered more than 1,000 hours of high performance boating and we are gearing up for commercial launch.  Working to support Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain you will help launch and scale our first revolutionary product.

What You'll Mostly Do:

  • Define the supply chain architecture that meets the needs of the business and the fits into the overall manufacturing strategy of PWC.

  • Set in place and continually improve the policies and procedures used by PWC for supply chain management.

  • Gather and analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues.

  • Manage supplier contracts from sourcing to execution and beyond; investigation/find suppliers, supplier evaluation & audit, securing contracts, and manage contract to execution.

  • Place and track purchase orders according to engineering drawings, and database Bills of Materials: this will include custom designed and off-the-shelf components from domestic and global suppliers.

  • Handle receiving of production components and input them into inventory using our ERP system.

  • Support quality inspection of incoming components.

  • Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts).

  • Lead the supply chain team in meeting KPIs/targets and resolving supply chain challenges.

  • Collaborate with internal teams like engineering  and manufacturing regarding parts, design, tolerances, buildability, etc.  DFM coordination.



Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar field

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field

  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes 

  • Aptitude for building cross functional teams (inhouse and external) and working across timezones with domestic and overseas suppliers

  • Experience working with error proofed MRP purchasing workflows within ERP and MES systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Infor and others

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Creative problem-solving

  • A strategic and analytical mind

  • Post COVID up to 30% potential travel required for supplier audits, negotiations and troubleshooting


Desired experience
