We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Advanced Placement (AP) Math Teacher who is passionate about transforming the lives of high school students. The ideal candidate will be an expert in mathematical concepts and skilled in engaging students at an advanced level. You will be responsible for teaching courses such as AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics. This role requires a strong understanding of the pedagogical approaches suitable for high-performing students preparing for success in AP exams and further education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, coherent lectures and classroom discussions on advanced mathematical concepts.
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the curriculum standards.
• Assess students’ progress through both formative and summative assessments.
• Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to develop new program initiatives and plan for curriculum enhancement.
• Communicate with parents and school counselors on pupil progress.
• Participate in department and school meetings, parent meetings, and other school functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification in the state of [State] with an endorsement in secondary mathematics education.
• Proven experience in teaching AP-level courses, with a strong track record of high student performance on AP exams.
