Capital Automotive is a $4.3 billion real estate company specializing in sale leaseback transactions, searching for an energetic and detail-oriented Paralegal to support the General Counsel in a variety of legal and operational matters. Provide support and reporting for the Legal Department, including organizing and preparing for various real estate, financing and corporate matters.
Reports to: General Counsel
Duties:
- Coordinate information and responses from various departments within the company
- Maintain corporate entities, including managing third party vendors, annual reports, foreign qualifications, director and officer changes, formations and dissolutions, certificates and resolutions
- Work with CARS business analysts on various real estate transactions, including obtaining, preparing and filing various certificates, consents, and lease documents, form updates, and reporting
- Prepare and review various real estate documents and trackers, including easements, title and survey due diligence, title memos and title objection letters
- Maintain securitization spreadsheets summarizing properties and leases
- Analyze, file, and distribute various notices to appropriate stakeholders
- Enforce quality control processes for maintenance of corporate records in accessible and organized manner
- Perform UCC, lien, and other searches
- Assist with coordinating closings and post-closing tasks, including deal checklists
- Maintain relationships with outside counsel
- Interact with securitization trustee and financing administrative agents for compliance matters
- Assist the General Counsel with day-to-day activities as needed

What You Bring to the Table:
- 3-5+ years’ experience with real estate and corporate transactions
- Strong understanding of legal and real estate terminology
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both on teams and independently
- Quick learner driven to produce deliverables quickly and efficiently
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communications, and time-management skills, including ability to prioritize work in an environment of changing priorities
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills
- Familiarity with Clarity First a plus
- Paralegal certification preferred
