Responsibilities:
As a Senior Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying developing and closing strategic sales opportunities within our target market. Working closely with our engineering team, you’ll leverage your industry expertise to position our services as the premier solution for our client’s complex challenges. This role will report directly to the VP of Marketing and New Business Development and will require strong collaboration with cross functional teams to drive revenue growth and expand our market share.
Primary functions:
- Strategic Prospecting and Lead Generation: Conduct targeted outreach to identify and qualify potential clients, leveraging data mining, industry research, and effective communication strategies (including cold calling).
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs, providing exceptional service, and ensuring effective communication throughout the sales cycle.
- Solution Selling: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver tailored product solutions that address client challenges and drive value.
- Persuasive Presentations and Proposals: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that effectively articulate the value proposition of our products and services.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Conduct strategic negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with both client and company objectives.
- Market Expansion: Identify and explore new market segments, industries, or geographic regions to drive growth and diversification.
- Brand Representation: Consistently exemplify DISTek's values and culture while interacting with clients, attending industry events, and representing the company in a professional manner.
- Team Collaboration: Actively participate in team development, sharing knowledge, and supporting colleagues to achieve collective sales goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-year technical degree or work equivalency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to clients, stakeholders, and prospects with various levels of technical expertise.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% per year, including overnight travel.
- Proficiency with Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and cloud services.
- 7+ years of sales experience demonstrating an understanding of sales skills, principles, and strategies.
- Ability to effectively utilize digital media to connect with and engage prospects in a timely manner.
- Experience navigating and succeeding in complex sales cycles that typically span 6 months or longer.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-year STEM-related degree (engineering, computer science,) or business.
- Demonstrated leadership experience such as having led proposal efforts or completed leadership training(s).
- Proven ability to deliver effective and persuasive presentations to stakeholders and customers.
- Ability to communicate clearly with people with diverse backgrounds.
- 10+ years of technical sales experience with a proven record of success.
- Ability to simplify technical concepts.
Desired Qualifications:
- A solid understanding of embedded control systems and familiarity with target engineering markets (off-highway, medical, etc.).
- Experience with data management or control systems, with a preference for experience related to vehicles.
Pay Transparency Statement
At DISTek Integration, Inc., our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by geographic location, job-related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program. This position’s compensation consists of base pay plus commission and incentive pay.
