Responsibilities:

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing and growing existing client relationships while driving revenue and ensuring their long-term satisfaction. Working closely with our engineering team and senior leadership, you'll identify opportunities to expand business with key accounts, develop strategic account plans, and deliver exceptional service. This role will report directly to the VP of Strategic Account Development and will require strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve sustainable growth.

Primary functions:

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute strategic account plans to identify growth opportunities, expand business, and drive revenue within existing client relationships.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations, ensuring their satisfaction and aligning with their strategic objectives.
  • Solution Selling: Collaborate with engineering teams to understand client needs, develop tailored product solutions, and effectively communicate the value proposition.
  • Sales Execution: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve revenue targets.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial metrics, market trends, and industry dynamics to drive informed decision-making.
  • Product Expertise: Develop a deep knowledge of DISTek's engineering capabilities and services to effectively position solutions and address client challenges.
  • Brand Representation: Consistently exemplify DISTek's values and culture while interacting with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate in team development, sharing knowledge, and supporting colleagues to achieve collective sales goals.

Required:

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 5-10% per year, with some overnight travel required.
  • Minimum of 2-year technical degree or work equivalency.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve complex technical problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to people with various levels of technical expertise.
  • Proficiency with Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and cloud services.
  • Knowledge of sales skills, principles, and strategies.
  • 5+ years of proven sales experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of sales principles, strategies, and techniques.
  • Experience navigating and succeeding in complex sales cycles that typically span 6 months or longer.  
  • Self-starter with strong strategic thinking skills; able to proactively identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and drive initiatives forward with minimal direction.

Preferred:

  • 4-year STEM-related degree (engineering, computer science, or business-related.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience such as managing teams or projects or completed leadership training(s).
  • Proven ability to deliver effective and persuasive presentations to stakeholders and customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • 7+ years of technical sales experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of business principles, including financial analysis, market trends, and industry dynamics.  

Desired:

  • A solid understanding of embedded control systems and familiarity with target engineering markets (off-highway, medical, etc.).
  • Experience with data management or control systems, with a preference for experience related to vehicles.

Pay Transparency Statement

At DISTek Integration, Inc., our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by geographic location, job-related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program. This position’s compensation consists of base pay plus commission and incentive pay.
