Country Director
In collaboration with Stanford Graduate School of Business, Yayasan Warisan Inspirasi Nusantara (“WIN”) is bringing the Stanford Seed Transformation Program (STP) and the Stanford Seed Transformation Network (STN) to Indonesia’s most promising entrepreneurs. WIN seeks qualified candidates for the position of Country Director. This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Stanford Seed partners with entrepreneurs from across Africa, South Asia, and now Indonesia to help them build thriving enterprises that transform lives. Through the STP, growth-oriented CEOs/founders of medium-sized enterprises are exposed to core business skills taught by Stanford University faculty and local experts. Program participants are given access to local and regional peer networks and other resources, such as consulting and coaching, upon completing the 10-month program.
This philanthropic endeavor aims to help leaders increase revenues, create jobs, and positively impact people and the planet, and is well-aligned with WIN’s values and strategic priorities as a foundation working to create positive economic, social, and environmental impact in and across Indonesia.
The successful candidate will:

Manage and oversee the execution of all aspects of the STP and STN-related activities in Indonesia

Lead and manage employees based in Jakarta, Indonesia

Build and maintain relationships with local/regional stakeholders, the entrepreneurial support ecosystem, and program participants
-
Play a lead role in the recruitment, identification, and evaluation of program participants
-
Analyze data on program participants’ performance to inform continuous improvements to program design and operations, and participant selection for future cohorts

Manage Seed volunteer business coaches based in Indonesia and working throughout the region
-
Manage and oversee the execution of the Stanford student intern program in the region
-
Represent WIN and Stanford Seed at local and regional events
-
Serve as a local host to Stanford and international visitors

Collaborate with peers involved with Stanford Seed programs in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required
-
Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree highly preferred
-
10 or more years of senior-level business experience in operations, business development support and mentoring, or a related field, highly preferred
-
Experience working with international teams located across various countries and regions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
An advanced level of fluent English skills, both oral and written
-
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member in a small office

Professional experience and deep knowledge of the Indonesian business ecosystem, especially the medium-sized business sector

Knowledge of and experience engaging with business networks

Exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage numerous complex, multifaceted programs stretching across borders
-
Ability to interact with coaches, interns, and entrepreneurs and to exercise sound judgment, tact, and discretion
-
Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify problems, develop solutions, take responsibility for implementation, and collaborate with the Stanford Graduate School of Business-based staff

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies and effectively develop relationships that enhance overall goals
-
Ability to contribute to a cooperative and supportive office environment characterized by service-oriented flexibility, workload fluctuations, and time zone variances

Salary will be commensurate with experience
