East Central College has an opening for a part-time Instructional Program Assistant for HVAC responsible for providing support services for the HVAC Program. The position will assist faculty with setup and operation of the laboratory.
This is a part-time position not to exceed 19.75 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications: (A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)
- Completion of Associate degree
- One year related experience
Essential Tasks: (Employee must be able to perform the following essential functions to the satisfaction of the employee’s supervisor.)
- Follow and enforce all safety regulations.
- Assist faculty in setup of laboratory exercises and demonstrations based on instructors’ syllabi including preparing and setting up equipment deemed to be too hazardous for students to handle.
- Assist students during labs
- Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly lab and storage room.
- Store and dispose of hazardous waste in a safe and legal way.
- Maintain equipment records and inventory.
- Assist in repairing and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, and standards in a safe and efficient manner, with minimal supervision.
