As an PV&V Test Engineer, you will join our team of engineers in Fargo, ND. Your primary mission will be to provide Product Verification and Validation (PV&V) Engineering support for electric machines (motors, generators, auxiliary motors). Your demonstrated knowledge and experience in creating test plans will be vital to your success. Because you are a fast learner with the ability to work independently (as well as part of a small team of software, test, electrical, and system engineers), you feel comfortable in a role where you are expected to think out of the box and devise innovative solutions to complex control problems. Also, because you have strong communications skills, you have no problem providing local and remote technical support to engineering, manufacturing, operations, and service organizations. In exchange for your technical prowess, you will be rewarded with challenging and high-impact projects that will pioneer new generations of large and small off-road vehicles.
Requirements:
- Experience creating test plans.
- Minimum 2 years of experience creating verification and validation (V&V) plans, work requests, program management summaries, and scheduling V&V activities.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with rotating componenets, electrical machine design, test, or implementation.
- Experience with automated testing – test driven development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.

Knowledge of related electric drive components (inverters, connectors, energy storage, etc.).

Knowledge of AI and its uses related to V&V.

Knowledge in analytical details of electric machine types and design (continuous and peak load evaluation, electromagnetics, bearings, insulating materials, cooling and manufacturability).

Experience in working across groups with co-workers to share knowledge and work toward common goals.

Ability to work without supervision while managing projects and provides technical guidance when required on testing, evaluating and improving engineering outcomes.
