East Central College has an opening for a part-time Multimedia Assistant responsible for supporting the Director with the day-to-day operation of the External Relations department; produce marketing publications and documents, advertisements, etc. needed to promote the College.
This is a part-time position not to exceed 19.75 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications: (A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)
Completion of Associate degree; two years related experience
Essential Tasks: (Employee must be able to perform the following essential functions to the satisfaction of the employee’s supervisor.)
- Manage publication projects from planning stage to final completion for internal and external distribution, while utilizing Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Produce College materials including the College viewbook, brochures, flyers, postcards, newsletters, reports, signage, advertisements, annual report, as well as digital sign, social media and web images using appropriate equipment and software.
- Edit marketing material for spelling and grammar
- Write in a clear, concise manner; proofread materials to ensure accuracy.
- Create designs, concepts and layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design and then prepare such for print or media application.
- Create graphs, charts, images and symbols and use them, along with other components, to create a coherent message.
- Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, and standards in a safe and efficient manner, with minimal supervision.
